| Working Principle | The peripheral self-priming pump is composed with a casing. Before starting, the water pump fills the pump casing with water (or there may already be water stored inside the casing). After starting, the high-speed rotation of the impeller causes the water in the impeller channel to flow towards the volute casing, creating a vacuum at the inlet which opens the check valve, allowing air to be drawn into the pump through the suction pipe and reaching the outer edge of the impeller channel. | The jet self-priming pump is composed of an ejector system, which creates a vacuum at the nozzle to achieve suction. It is called venturi system which consists of a Venturi tube and a nozzle. The JET pump can also achieve the self-priming function by installing the Venturi system in a water tank. Only a portion of the fluid pumped by the pump impeller flows out of the pump body, while the remaining portion flows back and is ejected through the nozzle of the Venturi system to form a jet.
